Welcome to Sherwood Family Medicine, an Integrative Health Center.

Who We Are:

We're innovators in bringing to you the best in medical and naturopathic care for you and your family.

What Integrative Medicine Means to Us:

Many practices call themselves integrative.  It means different things to different people.  Most practices that call themselves integrative are a combination of holistic providers like chiropractors, naturopathic physicians, acupuncturists being housed in the same building but working independently with their own patients.  Each provider lease space from a common landlord and may or may not interact or collaborate with one another.  It means several different types of holistic providers offering services out of one space with some or no collaboration.  We define it quite differently.

Our practice is owned by Dr. Maggie Yu, a medical doctor.  All providers here are employed as part of a team that works together.  We are integrating cutting edge primary care (by medical doctor, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants) with naturopathic care (by naturopathic physicians).  We work in the same office.  We use the same medical record.  We train and learn together with regular case conferences and seminars.  We frequently consult with each other to take advantage of each other's areas of expertise.  We have a medical director, Dr. Yu and a naturopathic medical director, Dr. Carrie Jones ND to ensure that quality integrative medicine is being practiced in accordance with the latest research and practice guidelines.

We are different because we integrate medical and naturopathic care and we are a team collaborative environment.  We want to bring the best of both worlds to our patients.  Please read our philosophy for further information.

How to Choose Your Provider:

We have nine providers in our practice.  We have five medical providers: a medical doctor, two family nurse practitioners, and two physician assistants.  We have four naturopathic physicians.  They all have different routes of training to be a licensed primary care provider.

All our providers are primary care providers, which means each can be your main provider.  However each provider does have special areas of focus and age groups that they focus on.  Whether you want to see a medical or a naturopathic provider or both depends upon your personal preference, and also what your main health issues are.  We encourage you to explore our provider bio pages to see which provider you would like to see.  Or make it easy, call our new patient coordinator, Krystal, and she'll guide you to the best provider(s) to suite your needs.  We also have a testimonial page where you can explore the feedback patients gave on each provider.  If you have questions about your insurance coverage, please call Krystal who can quickly help answer those questions
